Meet Cheryl

Cheryl is a Senior Technical Audiologist with broad experience in the Health Care profession, having spent over 25 years within the National Health Service (NHS).

Having trained and qualified at Rotherham District General Hospital, she moved to Sheffield Children’s Hospital with a focus on Paediatric Testing before moving to the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield where she spent 21 years.

She has performed a wide range of differential diagnostic hearing tests as well as assessing patients for possible hearing aiding, prescribing and fitting analogue and then digital hearing aids and providing bespoke rehabilitation with the aim of optimising communication skills. Specialising in Tinnitus and having attended the 22nd European Course for the Management of Tinnitus and Hyperacusis in Cambridge and more recently a Masterclass in Advanced Audiology, Tinnitus and Hyperacusis at University College London Ear Institute in January 2015, she has continued to expand her work with varied, sometimes complex Tinnitus patients as part of a multi-disciplinary team. She has been conducting appointments to facilitate management of intrusive tinnitus mostly on a 1:1 basis for in excess of 12 years.

Cheryl is a founding member and active participant in the Sheffield Tinnitus Support Group (STSG), is registered with the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP) and a professional member of the British Tinnitus Association (BTA).
